Exhibition: "Fireworks Blossoming in the Winter"Open University played host to an exciting exhibition of Israeli artist, Biliy Stempel's collection of paintings of fireworks which she painted one freezing winter in Beijing. Billy departed from the familiar work tools acquired during her art studies at the Bezalel Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Jerusalem, and created, using two vastly different cultures, a new language that unites the Western world and distant and different fundamentals from the art world. Biliy's observation of nature, both here and there, has resulted in a unique combination that finds expression in the fireworks in China's sky, and creates an explosion that weaves the rich interior concealed within it. |
