Prof. Dorit Olnik-Shemesh research focuses on online and offline aggressive behaviors, and Problematic Internet Use (PIU) among children and adolescents. She explores the emotional and social aspects of these behaviors among victims and perpetrators. Olenik-Shemesh serves as an Israeli representative in various international research groups on cyberbullying, victimization, and child abuse. She is involved in developing and evaluating national and international prevention and intervention programs for coping with online aggression in educational settings..
Prof. Olnik-Shemesh was nominated to the Management Committee of action number CA23153 which will work on the topic:
Digital Mental Health for Young People. Prof. Tali Heiman research focuses on social and emotional aspects related to special education students; in particular, those with learning disabilities and/or ADHD. She explores life-cycle perceptions as they relate to digital and assistive technology, bullying and cyberbullying, the inclusion process, and educational staff.
Prof. Heiman also analyzes the ways in which families cope with students with disabilities, and issues related to young adults in higher education. Her academic work benefits from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
