The impact of Ultra-Low Dose of THC on the Brain in different ages

Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is usually associated with memory deficits and cognitive impairments, especially among adolescent and younger adults. Even so, it seems to have a dual, age-dependent impact - as it demonstrates neuroprotective traits in aged and neurodegenerated brains, especially when administered in ultra low doses (ULD-THC), and could even reverse age-related cognitive decline.

Thus, utilizing mice models, we investigate the impact of ULD-THC on the brain during different ages, to further understand in which ages the ULD-THC may become therapeutic, and in what brain regions. The effects of ULD-THC are assessed on the behavioral level as well on the biological level.
