The Open University opens its video studios to record testimonies of the 7 October survivors and the victims' family members.

"There was a huge chaos, gunshots from everywhere, people running everywhere, there were two thousand people on the dance floor who didn't understand what was going on, people were told to run away from the party, and the policeman we saw told us to leave immediately!" (this is a short excerpt from the testimony of Yuval Siman Tov and Tamir Leshetz who survived the party in Rei'im).

On October 7, 2023, hundreds of civilians and security and rescue personnel were murdered, kidnapped and died in battles, in their homes in the settlements surrounding Gaza, and in an attempt to escape from Hamas terrorists. The Open University in collaboration with the Civil Information Center began filming testimonies of the party survivors and families of abductees, missing people and victims in our video studios.
The university employees together with other volunteers opened their hearts and mobilized for this important national mission, for these testimonies to remain forever.

On Sunday we filmed 8 testimonies. The videos are translated into dozens of languages and distributed on social networks and communication channels all over the world, in order to influence global public opinion and create a database of evidence for memory, research and investigations. The recordings will soon also be uploaded to our YouTube channel.
