International Office

The Open University of Israel (OUI) engages in extensive international cooperation with other institutions. Faculty members maintain contact with their peers from around the world, and the OUI regularly hosts delegations from universities and other organizations worldwide. The OUI aims to further extend and enhance these initiatives, which serve to connect the OUI to academic projects worldwide, benefitting both faculty and students.

The OUI’s International Office was established in 2022 as part of the university’s internationalization strategy. We support the following university goals and services for our international colleagues:

Creation of new international agreements with foreign academic and research institutions

Management of existing agreements

Hospitality for foreign delegations and visitors

Support for foreign post-doctoral students and research assistants employed by the university and research assistants employed by the university

Coordination and advertising of mobility opportunities for students and staff

Point of contact for all international inquiries

Internationalization Strategy

In keeping with the national goals set forth in the Council for Higher Education's plan for the promotion of internationalization among Israeli institutions of higher education, the Open University is committed to the expansion of the international dimension of its activities, both in academics and in research.
