OUI - UCU Online Event

In a meaningful online meeting titled "Learning in Higher Education under the Shadow of War," the Open University of Israel (OUI) and the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) brought together students from both institutions to share their experiences of how the ongoing conflict has impacted their studies and personal lives.

Hosted by Ms. Halyna Solohub from UCU and Dr. Leor Cohen from OUI, the event provided a platform for students to discuss the challenges and emotional toll of living and studying in a war zone. Students shared war stories and exchanged valuable tips and strategies for maintaining academic focus and success despite the disruptions caused by the conflict.

After the introductory session, participants were divided into two breakout rooms. This smaller group setting allowed each student the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their individual experiences more intimately. The discussions in these rooms were poignant, providing a sense of solidarity and understanding among the students.

The event concluded with all participants reconvening in the main forum, where they collaboratively developed a set of coping tools and strategies to navigate the ongoing challenges. The meeting ended on a note of unity and mutual support, with participants expressing a renewed sense of resilience and community.
