Former OUI President awarded with 2024 IEEE medal

Congratulations to Professor Hagit Messer-Yaron, President of the Open University in years 2008-2013, for being awarded the 2024 IEEE medal for environmental and safety technologies, for her contribution to environmental sensor research using wireless communication networks.
 
The IEEE Medal for Environmental and Safety Technologies is awarded annually to a researcher active in the fields of smart transportation systems, wireless communication, control and monitoring of sensor networks and automation, computing and signal processing.

This IEEE medal was awarded for the first time in 1917 and is considered one of the most prestigious awards given to a researcher who has made an extraordinary contribution to the advancement of scientific and technological academic research around the world.
