Prof. Mustafa Kabha is a is a professor of history. His research interests focus on the history of the Palestinian people in the modern era. He examines the political, social, cultural, economic and geographic history of the Palestinians, especially in the State of Israel, including the Arab press, education, Bedouin society, refugees and prisoners.
Prof. Kabha traces the factors that played a central role in shaping the history and identity consciousness of the Palestinian people.
His book, The Lost Orchard: The Palestinian-Arab Citrus Industry, 1850-1950, published on 2020 by Syracuse University Press,  (in collaboration with Dr. Nahum Karlinsky), analyzes the history of Palestinian orcharding  an important industry that turned Jaffa into an entrepreneurial center and initiated modernization processes in Arab society.
