Turing Award recipient, Kristen Nygaard, joins Prof. Lorenz in teaching his OOP undergraduate class. In this lecture, in front of undergrad students, Nygaard shows the restaurant example as an introductory example to ideas fundamental to the emergence of object oriented programming, for which he received, with Ole-Johan Dahl, the ACM A.M. Turing Award (considered to be the “Nobel Prize of Computing”), and the IEEE John von Neumann Medal.
