I recently submitted my PhD thesis to the University of Haifa. The dissertation, titled "Teenagers Listening – Everyday Habits, Music Mentors and 'Musical Nutrition'" was supervised by Dr. Abigail Wood (ethnomusicology, University of Haifa) and Prof. Motti Regev (sociology of culture, The Open University of Israel). I teach the course "popular music in Israel" at The Open University of Israel as well as music composition, theory and performance in high school. I recently conducted several research projects, some with colleague Dr. Gal Harpaz (social psychologist, The Open University of Israel). My fields of interest include youth culture; music listening in the age of streaming; popular music; music analysis; music and identity; music education; music and migration; qualitative research and mixed methods. I am currently looking for postdoc options worldwide and to collaborate with fellow researchers of similar interests.
